Looking for a CrossFit gym near you while on vacation? Or maybe you’re just looking for a gym near you to get moving again after being stuck inside.

We are located just minutes from the sugar sands of the Gulf of Mexico right here in beautiful Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Whether you are a seasoned athlete, just want to get moving with one of our Boot Camp classes, or you are somewhere in between, we would love to meet with you and talk through your goals. Our accountability coaching will help you set and keep moving toward those goals!

That’s the beauty of our coaching style, we can adapt to fit your needs so you feel welcome and enjoy any class you attend.

Functional Movement” refers to maintaining the safest, most efficient position to power through a movement. There are plenty of misconceptions about CrossFit; much of what we do in our workouts mirrors activities in our daily lives. To the uninitiated, flipping a tire looks like crazy “he-man” work. But if you’ve ever had to move a mattress up a flight of stairs, you already know the movement. Cleaning a medicine ball may appear odd, but consider what your body does when you place your suitcase in a plane’s overhead compartment. If you’ve ever lifted a heavy bag of dog food or peat moss, no one needs to tell you the importance of arching your back. Gulf Shores CrossFit will help you maintain the correct position in a workout to keep you and others safe and maximize efficiency.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions are always helpful to flip through. These are a few common thoughts and questions that pop up for those curious about CrossFit or wanting to try it but aren’t sure where or if they can start. We've got you covered.

  • You can come for a free trial class, set up a walk through with one of our coaches, or send us a message. Doing a walk-through or consultation is always a great idea, and from there the coach will help you get started on your CrossFit journey. You can email us to set it up today!

  • Absolutely! Whether you have never been to a gym, or are familiar with working out, we have your back. Our process is set up for your success. Every class is certified coach led, and don’t worry, we do not throw you in the deep end and hope you can swim.

    We are there every step of the way.

  • We start with a consultation to chat about what your goals are.

    For this, you can shoot us an email or message us on social media. Once you know you are ready to start, we will get you going with your personal Foundations class. Once you have completed Foundations, you will move into the group classes and begin using what you learned to the fullest.

  • Foundations is where every Gulf Shores CrossFit member begins. It is a four class series of personal training sessions to get you familiar with the terms, movements, equipment, and to build your confidence in your goals. Once you have completed Foundations you can continue with personal training and/or hop into a CrossFit group class. See the Foundations Page for more details.

    Regardless of a person’s past athletic experience or current level of fitness, everyone who first comes to Gulf Shores CrossFit is provided the opportunity to learn basic techniques, terminology, pre-workout warm ups, and exercises before participating in regular Gulf Shores CrossFit classes.

    We offer a Foundation Class Series for anyone new to CrossFit. This is a 4 class series that will help you learn the basic CrossFit movements. You will work with a CrossFit Coach to help you master your movements and aid you in preparing to join a larger group class with confidence.

    After you have completed your Foundation Class Series, you can opt to continue with personal sessions or join our group classes.

  • To prevent or work with injuries, communication is key.

    Whether you are new, or have been a member for a while, we encourage everyone to listen to their body, and communicate with the coach. Even if something is aggravating you, it is wise to communicate that to the class coach. The coach will then provide a scaled or alternative option for you that prevents further aggravation or injury.

    All coaches are CrossFit certified and watch the members for proper form. Proper form will prevent injury. Every coach also goes through every movement and it’s scaled options for every class.

  • We offer both.

    We have a certified nutrition coach on staff, and our coaches also offer personal training sessions.

    Personal training sessions are 30min, or 1 hour, depending on your goals.
